UV paint spraying process in UV equipment and the importance of UV paint

UV paint is a transparent coating, also known as UV varnish.  Its role is to spray or roll coated on the surface of the substrate, after the irradiation of UV lamp, so that it is converted from liquid to solid, and then achieve surface hardening, the effect of scratch resistance, and the surface looks bright, beautiful, texture round.  

Uv paint with its good environmental protection, chemical resistance, physical damage resistance, high hardness and rapid drying characteristics are adopted by the majority of wood products production enterprises.  Spraying process: spraying UV primer →UV curing → sanding → spraying UV finish → infrared leveling →UV drying → collecting.  Or use the method of spraying UV finish paint directly, then flow flat cure, but the likelihood paint film thickness is insufficient.  The application of UV paint in the furniture industry has entered a stage of rapid development, guangdong, Chengdu, Shanghai area of larger furniture manufacturers have basically started to use or are preparing to use UV paint.  

The solid content of UV paint reaches more than 95%, and there is no volatilization of organic solvent in the process of use, and all the components are cured into a film.  The health hazard to construction operators and environmental pollution are the lowest, is the real green environmental protection products.  And we commonly used polyurethane (PU), not saturated polyester lacquer paint (PE) and lacquer paint (NC), nearly half of the solvent in the process of construction, such as toluene, xylene, ketone, ester, styrene) and free monomers (such as the free toluene diisocyanate TDI) to evaporate into the air, environmental pollution, harm human health.

On July 1, 2003, the content of free toluene diisocyanate (TDI) in PU mixture should be less than 0.7%.  This is because the substance is easy to accumulate after inhaling the human body, affecting the nervous system, reproductive system and digestive system.  At the same time, some international furniture traders, such as Ikea of Sweden, also signed a sustainable development agreement recently, stipulating detailed standards for the working hours of workers, the source of wood procurement (whether it belongs to indiscriminate cutting), and the working environment of their furniture factories.  The use of UV paint is also catering to this standard, the use of UV paint products in Japan and other countries although the price is higher than similar products, but very popular, hot sales.  

In recent two years, although the competition in furniture industry is not as cruel as the price war in electric appliances and other industries, it is becoming more and more fierce. In addition to the sales network, brand building, logistics, style, quality and other aspects of the competition, price is still the key factor in the competition, so improving production efficiency, reduce cost is also the top priority of furniture production and sales. The use of traditional PU, PE, NC paint furniture, paint accounted for 7-20% of the material cost (including loss), the proportion is larger.
